Description
This paperweight is a good example of how you can get extreme variations in the silver colors. The colors are created at the juncture of the turquoise glass which contains copper and the silver glass and they are controlled by a chemical process called reduction. Indentations in the surface trap air bubbles when the piece is encased in clear glass. A subtle pattern radiates from each bubble.
